Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona is one of Rome’s most fascinating and famous areas, characterized by a Baroquestyle that encompasses the splendid Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi and the architecture of the Church of Sant’Agnese. A short distance away, only about 10 minutes, you can admire the fruit and vegetable stands of Campo de’ Fiori; during beautiful spring days an explosion of colors and perfumes fills the air putting anyone in a good mood.

From Hotel Regno, going down towards Piazza Venezia, at the foot of the Campidoglio hill, you can admire the Vittoriano and the splendid steps with theAltare alla Patria (Altar of the Country). Going towards via Fori Imperiali, amongst ancient temples and the remains of Trajan markets, you can enjoy the view of theArco di Costantino and the Colosseum’s majestic arena, where gladiators entertained the people with their heroic acts and the power of Rome was celebrated.

Location

The Hotel Regno is amongst the hotels in Rome close to Piazza di Spagna and the Fontana di Trevi; in a very central position and well served by buses that stop 5 meters away from the hall. This allows you to reach within minutes the most important locations of the Italian capital.

Strolling in the streets downtown…

Once out of the hotel, strolling in via del Corso, towards Piazza del Popolo, turn right onto via della Muratte and head towards colle del Quirinale, home of the Republic’s presidency, you will arrive near one of the city’s symbols: the Fontana di Trevi.

Let yourself be enchanted by its splendid sculptures and after having thrown, as per tradition, a coin into the waters of this famous fountain, head north in via Veneto, the street that Federico Fellini immortalized with his masterpiece “La Dolce Vita”, a place where age-old coffee shops mix with elegant and exclusive clubs.

Looking towards the Tevere river, you will see the Trinità dei Monti, one of the ideal locations for fashion shows and worldly events held during the summer season. This is the exciting setting of Piazza di Spagna. Right in front of you, via dei Condotti: an irresistible occasion for high fashion shopping. Do not leave out the warm and cozy atmosphere of nearby via Margutta, the street full of artists.
